What Is Total Body Toning
Body Toning is a
low impact workout to burn fat & tone up your entire body.
We use a powerful combination of toning exercises designed to target all
muscle groups!
With various types of
equipment, this session offers a low-impact strengthening session that
will increase your muscle tone and make you stronger all over in 50
minutes. Its a terrific alternative to a weight room!

What is involved ?
The class lasts for 1 hour. We start
with a 5 minute warm up followed
by a 50 minute total body toning, followed by 5 minute stretching.
The purpose of the warm up is to slowly warm up all the muscles,
increase body temperature, heart rate and mobilize joints in order to
prevent injury.
During the 50 minute
toning session we do exercises that tone every part of your body -
legs, butt, tummy, core, back, shoulders and arms. The exercises we do
also help to stabilise joints, increase bone density and improve
posture. We start by working either
upper or lower body and then progress quickly to working both
together, incorporating balance /stabilization exercises to hit the core
and improve joint stability. This
hugely increases the toning effect and gives a bonus "fat burn"
effect.
We use hand weights,
dyna bands, ankle weights and mats. There are a large range of weights
(0.5kg pairs up to 5 kg pairs), dyna bands and ankle weights allowing
for continual progression
We Finnish the session with 5 minutes of stretching. This returns the
muscles to their pre-exercise lengths preventing injury.
Body Fat and weight monitoring is provided after the class.
